Brief

The Attric EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) is a powerful, simple to use answer to a company’s document management needs. It is a web based solution utilising the .NET 2.0 framework and stores data on the robust Microsoft SQL Server 2005 platform. Attric’s Document Control Team publishes documents to the EDMS which are made available in .PDF form to their clients’ user bases via a web browser. Attric’s challenges were to lower the cost of ownership for the client, make the solution available to a broader range of clients and eliminate the substantial capital outlay of a site based server solution.

Solution

Attric’s vision was to provide their software as a service. They selected Intragroup as the perfect partner to build a complete hosted solution and achieve this ambition

Phase 1

Intradev re-engineered the application to better suit a shared hosting environment, including enhancing security and optimising performance for internet usage.

Phase 2

Intrahost built a server solution with multiple web and data servers utilising the highly acclaimed Neverfail High Availability software to ensure that uptime is kept above 99.98%.

Phase 3

Intrahost co-located the servers in two geographically diverse UK based data centres, providing all the facilities expected from a world class hosting provider and ensuring maximum security.

Phase 4

Intrasource provides constant monitoring, support and pro-active maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of the EDMS system 24 hours per day 365 days each year
