The latest incarnation of the Opera web browser has just been released for Mac and Windows users.
Version 10 of Opera features a Speed Dial page which is similar to the Top Sites idea that is so popular with of Safari 4.0 web browser.
The Opera 10 interface has been redesigned and looks nice and simple and feels uncluttered compared to some of the competition. It also felt subjectively fast when I gave it a spin earlier today.
It may also appeal to UK users who are stuck with slow connection speeds as it features Opera Turbo which uses Opera’s servers to compress Web pages, boosting and accelerating connections to a crowded Wi-Fi in a cafe or a tethered mobile phone.
It includes a password manager, an inline spell checker and an email client.
It is certainly worthy of a test drive particularly those who have yet to give up Internet Explorer for Firefox!
